Designed by firefighters for firefighters, the A3 size of the PIB accommodates the handling of keys and laminated plans while wearing firefighting gloves. The ergonomic design, featuring bevelled corners, is a critical safety measure to prevent potential injuries to individuals near a SIB mounted on the wall. This thoughtful design significantly reduces the risk of accidents in public areas.

Gerda Security Products emphasizes safe design principles in all our product designs. Our PIBs have successfully passed the STS205 BR2 (level II) test, are Secured by Design approved, and comply with the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Code of Practice. They also adhere to the requirements outlined in Approved Document B June 2022 amendments and the Fire Safety (England) 2022 Regulation 4, following the recommendations of the Grenfell Inquiry.
