Our doorsets, designed for longevity, have ranges in situ for 18 years, continuing to perform owing to in-built innovation. Our flat entrance doorsets offer future-proofing thermal insulation and excellent acoustics.

Operationally we recycle replacement doors, reformed into heat bricks for our manufacturing facilities; reduce waste through automated paint CNC equipment and our product packaging is biodegradable. Our vehicle fleet is environmentally award-winning and all sites have EV charging stations.

A member of SME Climate Hub, we are committed to ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

An ISO 9001:2015 organisation, we implement a golden thread of quality assurance throughout our Company; and our products through independent third party certification.

This includes Dual Certification for fire resistance and enhanced security for flat entrance doorsets; Q Mark certification for fire doorset manufacture for communal area doorsets and UKCA certification for external fire doorsets.

Additionally, our installation, maintenance and inspection services carry third party certification.

With our knowledgeable sales teams, expert technical department, experienced surveying teams ; on-site resident liaison; contract management ; third party certified installation and maintenance teams; and customer liaison managers, we offer a range of services to complement our rigorously tested products. Our product life-cycle management and social value policy drive our commitment for carbon neutral status in 2030.

As the leading specialist in the UK with over 25 year’s experience in fire doorsets for the housing sector, our products have performed successfully in actual fires. Our employees are highly skilled and trained and all contribute to the creation of products that make a difference to the built environment.

Gerda Security doorsets are manufactured in accordance with third-party certification. Continuous investment into state-of-the-art equipment and bespoke software has enhanced manufacturing processes, allowing for dimensions and data to be automatically cross checked throughout the ordering system.

This ensures that the doorsets meet a building’s requirements within the scope of Gerda’s extensive fire test remit.

Gerda manufacture all doorsets at our wholly-owned and managed factories; providing us with the ability to control and measure every element of the manufacturing process. This capability enables us to offer excellent lead times on all project sizes.

Traceability is a core feature of our manufacturing processes. Since the 1990’s each unique doorset is produced with its own code and this Is now part of the G-Smart App, our own system of digital life-cycle management.

G-Smart holds the ‘DNA’ – tracking the doorset from its inception at the survey stage through to doorset manufacture and on to installation, maintenance and repair.

Gerda have always engineered their products to exceed recognised industry test standards to provide class leading compliance.

The doorsets are rigorously primary tested in a range of styles and configurations, including innovative solutions to offer a range of options for the living and accommodation environment.

Our primary-owned test evidence at UKAS accredited test houses means that our fundamental doorset design and construction is consistently tested.

Unlike cascaded test evidence owned by someone else, Gerda’s primary-owned test evidence is extensive and crucial in providing proven compliant solutions in the built environment.

We have experience in high resident engagement for our doorset replacement programmes and in the follow-up surveys ensuring that residents are happy with their doorsets. Two of our recent programmes not only had a high level of satisfaction but the level of response was extremely good.
