At Gerda sustainability is at the heart of what we do. From recycling the doors we replace to building solutions that last, we are fully committed to environmental responsibility.

The environment has always been important to Gerda. We constantly consider our environmental impact, and have enacted several policies to be a force for sustainability throughout our business.

Gerda sustainability commitments start with our innovative product design. Our products are built to last, ensuring they can be used to protect and preserve our clients’ buildings for as long as possible.

As part of the Gerda whole life cost assessment, we consider the environmental impact of every project we take on, ensuring we reduce our carbon footprint as far as possible.

Doors replaced by our residential and communal doorset ranges are recycled, reformed into heat bricks that we use to heat our manufacturing facilities. This reduces the waste that would otherwise result from renovation projects.

Gerda sustainability practices go beyond our on-site projects, though. Our latest fleet of vehicles is the environmental award-winning Citroen range, providing some of the greenest and cleanest vehicles available in the UK with low CO2 emissions and exceptional fuel efficiency.
