Credibility

We know that establishing the credibility of Gerda as a brand and the reliability and dependability of our products is an important thing to do in this industry, and we have undertaken a number of initiatives to achieve that goal.

Leading the Way in Design and Safety

Gerda entered the security industry with the provision of void screens and doors. Distinctive products were viewed as highly effective as the locks were moulded into the steel doorset design. These products are now showcased in the Berlin Museum of Art, in a contemporary industrial display.

One of the first manufacturers to successfully test residential doorsets to PAS 23 and PAS 24 in the late 1990s, we were a founding member of Secured by Design. We have also worked with the official UK Police initiative owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), supporting “designing out crime”.

Our Work With Fire and Rescue Services

We work with leading authorities in fire safety and security, and Fire & Rescue Services nationwide in order to ensure that our products meet and exceed industry standards,and are wholly fit for use in the environments in which they function – an important step in establishing the credibility of Gerda fire safety equipment, and our positive reputation as a leading manufacturer of that equipment.

In 2004 the joint initiative between Gerda and the London Fire Brigade brought about the Premises Information Box system which was launched at City Hall in London, and our work and commitment to fire safety has been officially recognised by The Fire Fighters Charity too. We are very proud of our work with Fire & Rescue Services, and believe that their willingness to work with us speaks to the credibility of Gerda as a company, and the quality of our products.
